Several design methods of store shelves

2022-10-01

The shelves in shopping malls generally refer to the cabinets, shelves, cabinets, boxes and other appliances that display and place the commodities to be sold in the near future in the business hall of the store. In recent years, in order to adapt to the new situation and improve their competitiveness, stores all over the country have made efforts to make a general adjustment to the display effect of the business hall. The shelves, counters and other major commodity displays have been modified, and some have bought new shelves, making the business hall take on a new look.

The goods displayed on the shelves make full use of the business space compared with the stalls. The purpose is to arrange the goods in an orderly way so that customers can see them clearly at a glance, pass the information of the goods to customers quickly, and stimulate and strengthen the determination to buy through the emotional display of the goods; At the same time, it is also the basic operating facility for salesmen to provide customers with high standard services. Whether it is cabinet type shelf, cabinet type shelf, box type shelf, boom shelf, etc. are used to place different goods for customers to choose. The shelves in groups are divided into different varieties for sale, forming a sales team, so that once customers enter the store's business hall, they can see a variety of goods operated by the store along the aisle network formed by the shelves. The sales services of the store are directly completed with customers in front of the shelves.

The layout of the shelves is the main content of the layout of the business hall. The aisle constructed by the shelves determines the flow direction of customers. Whether the vertical crossing, diagonal crossing, radial, free circulation or direct layout methods are used, certain flexibility should be reserved for the change of the business content, so as to adjust the form of the shelf layout as needed. Therefore, all kinds of shelves in modern shopping malls are in the form of combination, and only a small number of franchise stores adopt a fixed form.

The distance between shelves should ensure smooth passenger flow. It is no problem for small stores to set shelves against the store door. For large food stores, department stores, clothing stores, etc., a reasonable distance should be calculated according to the volume of people and business varieties formed by the size of the store. Generally speaking, the main channel should be between 1.6 and 4.5 meters, and the secondary channel should not be less than 1.2 to 2 meters.

Due to the different characteristics of the shape, volume and value of various types of commodities, it is bound to put forward different requirements for display and sales appliances such as shelves, so as to achieve the display effect. According to various types of goods to design shelves, is the current business hall design direction.

The particularity of commodities is mainly reflected in whether they can be stacked, hung, placed vertically, horizontally, and in bulk. Some commodities are sensitive to temperature and light, and glass refrigerated shelves are used. Some precious commodities have special requirements for the measures of shelf * * *. Some commodities that can be directly contacted by customers should be designed to provide sufficient convenience for customers. The drawer type shelves of traditional Chinese medicine stores, the Bogu type shelves of cultural relics stores, the platform type shelves of bookstores, the box type shelves of fruit stores, and the boom type shelves of clothing stores are all designed according to the characteristics of their respective operating varieties.

The design of the shelf shall ensure that there is an appropriate area and space when the goods are displayed on the shelf, so that the goods can be effectively arranged in a horizontal arrangement to display the different varieties, and the vertical arrangement to display the different specifications and grades of the same variety. Proper space not only provides convenience for the vertical arrangement of goods, but also facilitates the shelves, goods placement and cleaning of salesmen.

In the same store, the shape of the shelves should be basically uniform, so as to create a neat and orderly environment and provide a good atmosphere suitable for shopping. Consistent size, consistent material, consistent form characteristics (mainly in the top, feet, corners, and surfaces), and consistent color make the shelves unified.

Now the design of store shelves should be based on functional requirements, and the modern sense of form is the main aspect of shaping the store image. The modern modeling is mostly composed of simple straight lines. This new modeling concept originated from the establishment of the furniture modeling of Bauhaus School in Germany in 1921. In 1922, the headmaster of Bauhaus, Gropes, personally presided over the teaching of this group. The bookcase he created in 1923 reflects the modern modeling tendency. It is composed of right angled S-shaped stacks, with vertical support plates in the middle. It is contrary to the aesthetic taste of traditional natural style curve modeling, There is no superfluous decoration, bright and dignified, changing and stable, and the functional composition is very prominent, which remains unchanged. After World War II, this new style spread to the United States, Northern Europe and became popular. It was not until the 1960s that a breakthrough was made. The shelf design of modern stores can also be used for reference.

The traditional materials of shelves are wood, metal (steel, aluminum), and glass. In foreign countries, there is a trend to replace wood and metal with fiberglass, and glass with plexiglass. Fiberglass has superior mechanical properties, and is characterized by light weight, semi transparent, colorable, free forming, and low cost. It can be used for shelves, cabinets, cabinets, tables, boxes, partitions and other appliances used for commodity display. Because of its free formation, designers can endow it with many new forms. Organic glass has been invented in the 19th century, and the shortcomings of poor wear resistance of early products have been improved. It has the advantages of high strength, no breakage, no fading, high plasticity, good light diffusion, and cheaper than glass abroad. Among them, the advantages of plasticity enable it to bend, fold, cut and die cast, making it a wide range of modeling possibilities when used for store shelf materials.

In order to display goods, the shelves generally do not use stimulating colors to avoid dominating. However, for the color relationship between commodity display shelves and commodities, * * take into account the normal color function. If the goods are bright in color, the color of the shelves should be gray; For light colored goods, the shelf color should be dark; For dark goods, the shelf color should be light. The collocation of shelf and commodity color is to serve as a foil for the background color.
